A 7,000-square-foot, one-story commercial building located at the busy main intersection of a suburban community. The interior space was designed for maximum flexibility, with all spaces running through from front to back. To preserve the older town center feel, the façade was brought out to the street and a gable roof, as opposed to a flat one was used.
The parking was located in the rear of a tree-shaded lot. The surrounding colonnade gives shoppers protection from the weather and gives sidewalk pedestrians a sense of separation from the crowded roadway and close association with the display windows they are passing.
